The Young Hunters participants spent the afternoon learning about the Climate Adaptation Program with Robert Karetak and how to locate seal dens with their instructor Jason Curley.
Robert did a Smart Ice data collection run to teach the participants about the use of technology for monitoring and the importance of ice thickness for safety while travelling.
Jason showed the participants how to locate seal dens found on the ice. The participants learned how to identify the mounds of snow and what to look for when searching for seal dens.
