FAMILY SUPPORT GROUP

Aajiiqatigiingniq Inunnguinirmut is a pilot project developed by the Aqqiumavvik Society, Arviat District Education Authority, and the Shared Care Child Care Society. Funding is provided by the Government of Nunavut through the Department of Culture and Heritage. 

The aim of the project is to develop and support healthy family networks within Arviat. Together with family support workers and Elders, the program initiates a Family Support Team; a group of caring people who work to support families through difficult situations.
